Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams (born on the 20th of August, 1974 in Aviano, Italy). American actress. Known for playing naive charming characters. Adams was among seven children who lived when she was a kid in Castle Rock, Colorado. She was born while her father was employed by the U.S. Military in Italy. At the end of the 1990s, she began performing professionally and dancing in Boulder's Dinner Theatre and Country Dinner Playhouse. Later she was in Minnesota, at a local theater, she was selected to play a role in a mock film documentary on beauty pageants called Drop Dead Gorgeous. After making her screen debut as a ditzy but good-natured contestant she moved towards Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. Between June 1951 and September of 1962, she was engaged to the actor Tony Curtis. She is also the mother of Kelly Curtis & Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh, discovered through the actress Norma Shearer Leigh signed a contract with MGM to launch her film career actress in the mid 1940s. Through the years that followed she was in a variety of famous films, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960), and Living It Up by Martin and Lewis (a 1954 film).
