Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, (presently Onesti(born November 12, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, now One Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to get a flawless score of 10 in an Olympic event. Bela Karrolyi is a Romanian gymnastics teacher who was later Comaneci's coach who first came across Comaneci when she was just six years old. In 1969, she participated at the Romanian Junior Championships and finished 13th. She won in 1970. Her first ever international contest in 1972, she came out on top by winning three gold awards. In her debut as a Senior in 1975, she beat Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. She was the five-time European champion, winning four gold medals and one silver. She was the winner of the American Cup at the New York City Olympics. She also became the first woman ever to remove the parallel bars using the double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She started her career in the entertainment industry in her teens performing as the figure skating duo of their twin sister Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol ventured into the entertainment industry as a teenager. At the age of a girl she started her career as a figure skating performer with Nina Wayne in the travelling show of entertainment Ice Capades. Ice Capades showcased performances of skating on ice performed by actors.
