April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She began piano and guitar lessons in seventh grade. This sparked her interest. April Lockhart wrote her first single"Different" when she was 12 years old. She spent a lot of time at 14 composing songs and experimenting with music. She began writing along with her dad in NY and LA within a short time. The month also saw her include additional topics that were related to of her peers who are dealing with issues such as bullying by peers and teenage suicide as depicted in the song"Take" my Hand. Lockhart is a lifestyle and beauty influencer with an ever-growing following. She works with popular brand Ilia with whom she has a partnership in addition to being an expert in the field of lifestyle. Her birth was without a left hand, and it's part of who she is--but it's hardly her whole story. Lockhart does not deny that she has a disability in her posts on Instagram, however she doesn't make it the focus of it. It's a message. The message is that we are more than the physical person we are. The identities we have are complex and include a myriad of aspects. Lockhart says in a video interview with Lockhart in a video interview "I do not believe that disability should define my character. I don't intend to have an impact on disability because I have plenty to offer." This doesn't influence my day-to-day activities. I go about the same way as I always do and have developed different ways of adapting. The same is true for me, and I believe that it is something to be talked about. The journey of self-acceptance that Lockhart has taken will be one that lasts an entire lifetime. She has been a source of inspiration in this regard. Still, she acknowledges going through periods of feeling insecure about her body, and also feeling uncomfortable wearing some clothing types which exposed her arms. She dresses according to her preferences and posts photos of herself in the outfits she wears on social platforms. For her, self-love is a long journey. It's a fact that I see with everyone with whatever they are struggling with. It's important to be around individuals who truly understand your.
